An exciting original signed Modernist Pink Tourmaline and Diamond ring by esteemed Modernist jewellery designer Alan Martin Gard who worked in London in the Mid Century. Made at a time when this design would have been at the very zenith of style it is somewhat of a collector's piece for the cognoscenti and we would love for it to find an appreciative new home. Entirely hand crafted in 18 carat yellow gold to an adventurous and highly textured form, this is essentially a fantastical Brutalist sculpture to wear on your hand! 

Of superb quality, it is a heavy piece weighing...... grams and measures just over an inch lengthwise, but is constructed with such a cleverness of balance that it sits perfectly on the finger to delight and interest all who see her at cocktail parties. The peachy pink Tourmaline crystal shows her naturally rugged form and the shape is contrasted by a perfectly round brilliant-cut Diamond. All very exciting!

Inside is the is the maker's mark AMG alongside the 18ct Gold London hallmark for 1969. Alan Gard was born in London in 1935 and apprenticed for 7 years under the jeweller Crombies, on Bond Street and also worked for Andrew Grima, forming his own business in 1964.

The ring size is an 'L' or '5.5' and can't be altered.
